University of Pretoria have extended Junior Sibande’s contract by another season, with an additional option. Sibande has done well for the team in their maiden PSL season, prompting the club to extend his stay.
He has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the league with his impressive displays for the Steve Barker-coached side. The club’s aim this season is to maintain their PSL status, while securing the futures of their up and coming young talents.
The team’s assistant coach, Sammy Troughton, revealed that the club is negotiating with a number of their youngsters, with a view of tying them down on long-term contracts.
Zimbabwean goalkeeper Washington Arubi and Mpho Matsi have already extended their deals with the side. Tuks will want to continue with the form they expressed at the start of the 2012/13 campaign, when the league resumes next month.
