Bartlett Confirms Tuks Exit

Bafana Bafana legend, Shaun Bartlett, has confirmed his exit from the University of Pretoria, saying that – with the right vision – they could be back in the Absa Premiership.
Bartlett spent two seasons with Tuks as he looked to help them regain their place in South Africa’s top-flight, however, things didn’t quite go to plan as they remained in the National First Division in both campaigns.
It was recently reported by Soccer Laduma that the 45-year-old was vacating his post at the club, and that fact has now been confirmed by the man himself.
He told the Siya crew, "It was a good two years spent with the club during a difficult period of trying to achieve promotion back to the elite level of football in South Africa.
"I believe with the proper reinforcements and a greater vision the club will eventually get back to where they are supposed to be. Facilities and resources they have in abundance, and hopefully, with the right guidance, they can make it.
“I want to thank everyone at UP for the relentless efforts to assist me and the opportunity to have been part of the structures there".
The coach will now be looking for the next chapter in his managerial career as he seeks a new project.
