Golden Arrows winger Philani Shange believes there is no reason to press any panic buttons following their unconvincing start to the season.
The Durban side has collected four out of a possible 15 points so far this season, with some suggesting they could be headed for relegation if the poor form continues. Their midweek loss to Free State Stars came on the back of a 2-1 win over Polokwane City, but Shange says they will turn the corner soon.
He told the Siya crew, “Eish, the results haven’t been going our way. We thought we were back to our winning ways against City. Free State Stars got one chance and they punished it. The only thing I can say is that it’s a long season. There are still 25 games to play and we can’t lose hope. It’s too early!"
He continued, "I see people have been complaining that we’re using too many inexperienced players, but that’s not the case. We’ve been using players with PSL experience like Vuyisile Ntombayithethi, Welcome Qalanto and Gift Sithole, with a few young players introduced.”
