For the first time since the inception of the Nedbank Cup, in 2008, Kaizer Chiefs will be playing in the final.
However, they are the most successful club in the tournament's history, having appeared in 17 finals over the years, while winning 12 of those.
This afternoon the Soweto giants are taking on SuperSport United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in the 2013 Nedbank Cup final, with a league and cup double on the cards.
Going into the final as the newly crowned Absa Premiership champions, Amakhosi midfielder Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala says that the team is confident on winning the trophy. He said that although they are facing a solid SuperSport team, they are ready for the game.
“We have done very well this far. We just want to wrap it up. We can do it as we are determined to win. We all know what United can do, but we have been preparing very well and we are ready for the final.
“They will be difficult opponents to play in the final, but with the preparations we had, we want a win and nothing else but a win,” Shabba concluded.
