‘Shabba’ missed the 3-0 win over Polokwane City in the first round of this year’s Telkom Knockout due to a muscle injury, however he is now training again and available for selection.
While the midfielder resumed full training with his teammates today, it remains to be seen whether Baxter will opt to take him along to face his former team, Ea Lla Koto, when they meet on Sunday afternoon.
The 29-year-old joined the Amakhosi in 2007 after a three-year spell in the Free State, playing a crucial role in Chiefs’ league and cup double last season.
Baxter chose to play George Lebese in Tshabalala’s place in the win over City and it is not yet known whether ‘Shabba’ will make an immediate return to the starting XI or not.
