Bafana Bafana defied all odds on Saturday to beat the Central African Republic (CAR) 3-0 in Yaounde in Cameroon.
Bafana's most capped player at present, Siphiwe "Shabba" Tshabalala, was one of the players on the score sheet and he tells the Siya crew that it was a great result for the team.
The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder said that they wanted the win and getting it was a good result.
"We had everything to play for and we went into the game looking for that three points. We knew that if we score first we would have the chance to get another one. Going into the break 2-0 up worked to our advantage, and to add the third in the dying minutes was great. It is a good result ahead of the Ethiopia game," Shabba expressed.
With the win, Bafana kept the pressure on group leaders Ethiopia who they are playing on Sunday 16 June.
Ethiopia has 10 points while South Africa has eight and a win on Sunday would see them move to the top of the group.
