Eight Absa Premiership players, as well as one head coach, will sit on the sidelines this week following their recent bookings and dismissals.
Bidvest Wits, who have received more cards in the league than any other side so far this season, will be missing three of their players, while SuperSport United will be missing two.
Wits have Jabu Shongwe, Calvin Kadi and Thulani Hlatshwayo out of tomorrow’s clash with Platinum Stars due to suspension, while Dikwena have Mduduzi Nhlapo missing for the same reason.
SuperSport will have to do without Clayton Daniels and Dove Wome going into their clash with Bloemfontein Celtic, while Ajax Cape Town and Jomo Cosmos both have one player suspended each in Anssi Jaakkola and Cheslyn Jampies.
Meanwhile, University of Pretoria head coach, Sammy Troughton, is serving the second game of his suspension after being dismissed in the draw with Ajax last month.
So far, Wits have picked up the most cards in the league (18 yellows and three reds), while Steve Komphela’s Kaizer Chiefs have the least (seven yellows).
