With the second half of the 2018/19 season in full swing, Soccer Laduma takes a look at some players who are yet to make an official domestic appearance for their respective clubs.
Be it injuries or falling down the pecking order, the Premier Soccer League holds a number of players who are yet to make official first team appearances for their clubs, subsequently seeing these players either sidelined or turning out for their Multi Diski Challenge teams.
Here seven of the many players in the league, who have not featured in top-flight football so far for the 2018/19 campaign:
Brilliant Khuzwayo for Orlando Pirates
The goalkeeper picked up an injury at the beginning of the season, which saw him sidelined for several months. Khuzwayo is currently turning out for Pirates’ MDC setup as he looks to gain match fitness and form for when he is called up to first team duties.
Thela Ngobeni for Mamelodi Sundowns
Ngobeni has not made any first team appearances for Sundowns since returning to the club at the end of last season, having recently been heavily linked with a move away.
Justice Chabalala for Pirates
Chabalala has not featured in the first team for the Buccaneers so far this season.
Mogakolodi Ngele for Sundowns
Ngele has not played a single first team fixture for the Brazilians thus far and the player is eager to fight for his release from his contract at the club.
George Lebese for Sundowns
The 30-year-old made no appearances for Masandawana in the 2018/19 campaign. He has since been sent out on loan to SuperSport United in the hope of getting in game-time.
