Ajax Amsterdam’s South African midfielder, Thulani Serero, should be fit enough to make the squad for their UEFA Champions League game against AC Milan tomorrow night.
The 23-year-old playmaker was substituted 40 minutes into Ajax’s KNVB Cup game against Volendam last week, after picking up a shoulder injury, going on to miss the 6-0 Eredivisie win over Go Ahead Eagles as a result.
However, it seems that his absence from the league game was a precautionary measure from the Dutch club, with the player’s South African representative, Mike Ntombela, explaining that his injury was just a bruising.
Speaking to the Siya crew about Serero’s injury Ntombela said, “It was just bruising, so I think he should be ready for the game this week.”
Serero will be hoping that he is fit enough to take on his second European giant in the space of two weeks, following his appearance against Barcelona earlier this month.
The game between Ajax and the Rossoneri will take place at the Amsterdam ArenA at 20h45 tomorrow night.
