Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa, has congratulated Itumeleng Khune on making his 200th appearance for Kaizer Chiefs last night.
Khune, who is the captain of the Amakhosi, hit the milestone when he started for Chiefs against Mpumalanga Black Aces, however, he would ultimately have been disappointed after the game ended 1-0 to AmaZayoni.
However, despite the defeat, Khune reaching his double century at Chiefs is quite the achievement, something which Meyiwa believes needs to be congratulated.
On his personal Twitter account, the Pirates shot-stopper said, “Congrats @IIKHUNE_32_16 for 200 games. Not easy, but thanks to hard work & focus you made it. Another 200 to go. Well done outie yami.”
Khune and Meyiwa have a long-standing friendship spanning many years, even though they have been bitter rivals on the pitch and often had to fight each other for the place of Bafana Bafana’s number one.
