News filtering through to the Siya crew is that Ajax Cape Town midfielder, Granwald Scott, would like to extend his stay at the Urban Warriors.
This follows news that the club and the player are still locked in talks with a view to extend the player’s stay at Ikamva.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Aidan Jenniker has penned a new deal until 2017, and the club has since turned to Scott with the aim of keeping the midfielder at Ikamva for the same number of years.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Scott revealed that there were talks but nothing concrete as of yet.
“There were talks but that’s all I can tell you. There’s nothing concrete yet or we haven’t reached any conclusion with the club. I can’t say I’m staying or something like that for now. Ajax has always been my number one team. I came here as a young boy and I learned a lot here. I’d like to stay at Ajax you know and grow as a footballer. But that all depends on the club and the discussions. I will let you know when everything is in place,” said Scott.
Scott joined the Urban Warriors as a young boy, and played for the club’s junior side, the reserve side until he graduated to the senior team.
The Siya crew will keep you updated regarding the talks, and whether the Urban warriors faithful will see the Kensington-born player staying put at Ikamva.
