Schut Available For Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed that Alje Schut has been given the go-ahead to train with the rest of his teammates, in preparation of the next game against Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday next week.

The towering defender, who is the captain of the side, was substituted at halftime in the previous game against Mpumalanga Black Aces at Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday night.

News coming from the Mamelodi Sundowns team doctors brought some relief into the camp, this after Alje Schut’s scan results came back normal from Mbombela Hospital.

The Sundowns captain was rushed to hospital at halftime during the match against Black Aces, after a nasty clash of heads with his teammate, Rashid Sumaila in the first half.

"Results came back showing no sign of concussion and the player has been cleared to train with the rest of the team ahead of the Chiefs match,” sundownsfc.co.za revealed.

Still with Sundowns, the club’s official website confirmed that Khama Billiat and Bongani Zungu are expected to return to training.

The two players missed Sundowns' 1-0 loss to Aces through injuries.
