Sangare Delighted With Draw Against Downs

By Soccer Laduma - Feb 21, 2018 10:23 PM
Free State Stars goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare expressed his pleasure after helping his side to a 1-1 draw against  Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday.

Goals in either half by Percy Tau for the home side followed by Siphelele Mthembu for the away outfit forced them to share the spoils, despite the chances both had to kill off the game.

“Ja, I thought we could have had a penalty, but the referee was not happy to give it. I’m happy with the draw against a big club, one of the biggest clubs in South Africa,” Sangare told SuperSport after the game.

The result keeps their minimal title hopes alive, and while they are it, Sangare believes it’s important that they keep their feet on the ground.

“I work every time. I take it game by game. If you have a chance to win the league, you have to take it one game at a time to try and become champions,” he concluded.

You showed some brilliant saves Sangare.....yes indeed that was a clear penalty but again the Ref was not well positioned to give a directive.
