Free State Stars have been dealt a blow with news that Mbhuyiselo Sambu has aggravated his injury. The defender is yet to play this season owing to a calf injury.
The former Platinum Stars player was hoping to make his way back to the team after recovering, only for the injury to halt his progress again.

Sambu confirmed to the Siya crew that he is disappointed at the turn of events in his unfortunate situation.
“The injury that is troubling me takes longer than I expected to heal. Initially I thought I had recovered and returned to training. It started all over again. I went to Johannesburg and had it assessed again. I was told that I needed to relax to allow it to heal,” said Sambu.
Ea Lla Koto still have Daniel Cardoso unavailable due to injury.
Stars coach Steve Komphela and his technical team would have wanted to have all the players available to contribute to the team’s impressive run so far this season.
Stars have gone four games without a loss, following wins over Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows, and draws against Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars respectively.
