The Siya Crew spoke to Wits CEO Jose Ferreira as speculation surrounding the possibility of Louis Saha joining the Clever Boys continues to mount.
Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill recently told the former Manchester United and Everton man that he was free to find a new club after failing to nail down a regular place in the side.
Soccer-Laduma also reported yesterday that the Ulsterman had revealed that there was interest from an unnamed South African club.
All that Ferreira was prepared to say to the Siya Crew regarding the rumours was, "Sunderland and Bidvest Wits have a strategic partnership, and Louis Saha is in South Africa visiting Wits as one of the members of the strategic alliance."
However, close sources have indicated that because of the strategic alliance, the possibility of Saha joining Wits could become a reality, and the player is not averse to joining the Premier Soccer League club.
Saha has reportedly become unsettled at the Stadium of Light after spending most of the season so far on the fringes of the team.
