The Siya crew can confirm that former French international Louis Saha will not be joining PSL side Wits.
Reports surrounding the Sunderland man’s possible move to Braamfontein began earlier this month when Black Cats’ coach, Martin O’Neill, spoke of interest from a South African side.
Since then, the 34-year-old has visited Mzansi, and the Clever Boys in particular, however it seems that he has decided against plying his trade in South Africa’s PSL.
It was reported that, should the move have gone ahead, the English Premier League side would subsidise the Frenchman’s wages because of their business partnership with The Clever Boys.
Now it has been revealed that Saha will look elsewhere for the next move in his career, with several clubs said to be interested in acquiring his services.
While it can only be speculated as to why the striker decided against a move to the PSL, it is thought that it did not make financial sense for the move to go ahead.
