SAFA have refused to comment on reports that Orlando Pirates midfielder, Thandani Ntshumayelo, has been given a four-year ban for the use of an illegal substance after pleading guilty.
It was revealed last month that the 26-year-old had tested positive for cocaine and would be charged by the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport, and it appears that he faces a lengthy spell out of the game after pleading guilty.
Contacted for comment regarding Ntshumayelo's apparent four-year ban, SAFA's head of communications, Dominic Chimhavi, said, "We have received information from the SAIDS, however I can't comment on the matter until I receive further information."
There has still been no official confirmation from Orlando Pirates during the matter, however a statement is expected in the near future.
