Free State Stars defender, Sadate Ouro-Akoriko, has resumed training after recovering from an injury. The strong defender was a notable absentee from the starting line-up during his side’s 1-1 draw with Polokwane City last weekend.
It was the first time that the player missed a game this season. The Togolese told the Siya crew that he is back at training, although he is still unavailable for selection for the game against AmaZulu this weekend.
“I have resumed training. I started on Monday this week. I am hoping that I will be ready to play by next week. I would have loved to play against them (AmaZulu),” said Ouro-Akoriko.
The game would have been an opportunity for the 26-year-old to impress against his future club for the last time before joining the team at the end of the 2013/14 season.
Ouro-Akoriko confirmed to the Siya crew that he signed a three-year deal with AmaZulu, as was revealed in issue 864 of Soccer Laduma.
