The 21-year-old has four goals in his last five games for the Amakhosi, and is now the club’s joint top scorer alongside long-serving stalwart, Siphiwe Tshabalala.
Moon is likely to be called upon this weekend once again when Chiefs do battle with Cape Town City, and he’s aware of the fact that he needs to stay grounded if he’s to keep up his impressive form.
He told the club’s official website, “The moment you score you want to get that feeling all the time, but I mustn’t put too much pressure on myself. I take it one game at the time. It’s great to score, but in the end it’s all about the team.
“Suddenly everybody wants to be your friend, (so) it’s therefore crucial to choose your friends carefully and stay focused.”
Chiefs host City on Saturday evening in a game that could potentially end the title hopes of whichever team is handed a defeat, and the young striker is aware of the importance of the tie.
He said, “It’s an important game… They are a tough side. It’s crucial that we keep the momentum after last week’s win. If we get the three points, we will continue to be in the mix to win the league title.”
