Word reaching the Siya crew is that former Ajax Cape Town midfielder, Tafadzwa Rusike, has joined Zimbabwean giants, Dynamos last Friday.
The 24-year old has signed a one-year deal as a free agent to end a six month-hunt for a club since his release from the Urban Warriors last year in June.
According to the source, the player agreed to terms with Dynamos last Monday but only signed on the dotted line last Friday.
The source revealed to the Siya crew that Rusike has been included in their Champions League squad which was submitted to CAF on New Year’s Eve.
Dynamos secretary general, Webster Chikengezha, said Rusike’s experience will help them in the team in the Champions League campaign.
“He has an option to extend his stay here at the end of his contract. Tafadzwa is the kind of player the coach keenly wanted for the Champions League. He brings with him enormous experience gathered from the national team and his stint at Ajax Cape Town,” Chikengezha was quoted.
Following his release at Ajax, the player trained with Dynamos but could not agree to terms and he then stopped training when there were reports that he could join an unnamed Belgian club.
Rusike will join players like former Moroka Swallows defender Oscar Machapa and ex-SuperSport United forward Simba Sithole, to lead their attack during the CAF Champions League.
