Bucs Coach Learns In Liverpool
Orlando Pirates’ assistant coach, Rulani Mokwena, jetted out to the UK to pay a visit to Liverpool’s Melwood academy as he looks to learn lessons from the European super club.
Mokwena, who has played a big role in the turnaround in the Buccaneers fortunes over the last couple of seasons, has some strong connections in the football world that he’s developed over the course of his career so far, and was in Liverpool last year while still working for Mamelodi Sundowns.
Now, with the international break upon us, the Siya crew has been informed that the young coach was visiting football colleagues at the club’s impressive academy, and he will no doubt be hoping to bring back some lessons that he can then implement at Pirates.
Pirates have already begun their preparations for the crunch clash against Kaizer Chiefs on November 24th, and Mokwena is expected back in the country this week to re-join Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and the rest of the technical team in the build-up to that momentous encounter.
Mokwena is known for his meticulous planning and eagerness to learn from other footballing structures around the world, so it will come as no surprise that he is using the international break to better himself further.
