Rulani Mokwena – the Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach – is pleased about the journey of one of his products from amateur to professional football.
Following a move for former Roses United player Tumelo Mogale to Baroka FC in 2016, Mokwena was pleased to see the midfielder making his professional debut for the Limpopo outfit.
Known as ‘The factory of passes’ for his creativity and silky skills in township tournaments such as the Maimane Alfred Phiri Games, many believe that Mogale was unfortunate not to have stayed longer at Bakgaga as he was released after only six months due to his lack of enough game time.
“Goosebump moment!! A moment that evoked emotions in me and it felt like my moment when it wasn’t. A few seconds of resilience, belief, perseverance and the result of living your life with intent. Goal achieved because God said yes when many had said NO,” Mokwena said on Twitter.
