Chippa United are close to concluding a deal with Ruben Cloete in a move that should see the defender joining the side for the second half of the 2014/15 season.

Cloete is highly rated by newly-appointed coach of Chippa, Ernst Middendorp, which comes as no surprise that the left back is expected to link up with the German at the Port Elizabeth outfit.
Middendorp and Cloete were together at Maritzburg United not long ago. They linked up again at Bloemfontein Celtic, where the player is contracted at the moment.
Chippa CEO, Peter Koutroulis, confirmed to the Siya crew that the side is in advanced negotiations to conclude a deal with the former Orlando Pirates player.
“We are almost there. It is not going to be a loan deal, but a straight transfer. (We are going to conclude the deal) probably by tomorrow. I’m going to Johannesburg tomorrow to meet with his manager and to finalise with everything,” said Koutroulis.
Chippa have also recently lured Fadlu Davids from Celtic at Middendorp’s recommendation as part of the changes that have been taking place at the Eastern Cape outfit.
