Royal Eagles could be set to join the list of South African clubs adding Colombian players to their squads, with striker Victor Alberto Salazar having arrived at the KZN outfit for assessment under Kostadin Papic and his technical team.

The 25-year-old forward has been on the books of Colombian club Millonarios, among others. His compatriot Jesus Mauricio Barrios Casas recently signed a contract with Golden Arrows to begin his career in the PSL.
Salazar arrived at Eagles last weekend and is expected to continue his trial with the team for the rest of the week. Should he impress Papic at training, the player could be signed, and turn out for the side in the National First Division this season.
Both Barrios Casas and Salazar will be hoping to emulate the success of their famous countryman Leonardo Castro, who has gone on to achieve great success at Mamelodi Sundowns since his arrival in Mzansi last season.
