Roses United have lodged a complaint with the PSL against Baroka FC for fielding goalkeeper, Veli Mothwa.
As reported by the Siya crew earlier today, the PSL charged the player for signing contracts with both Polokwane City and Baroka FC for the same season.
The league ruled in favour of Rise and Shine and charged the player last November, however, Baroka and the player, appealed the ruling to the SAFA appeals board.
“Roses United have lodged a complaint with the PSL against Baroka FC for fielding goalkeeper, Veli Mothwa. The matter will be heard this evening at 6pm. If the PSL rules in favour of United, that could put a spin on the play-offs,” said the source.
The crew put up a call to the PSL's Connie Motshumi, the General Manager of Communications, who said they could not comment on the matter.
“We cannot comment on the matter as we’re still waiting for the go-ahead from the prosecutor. We therefore cannot confirm or deny that there will be a seating on the issue. We’re still awaiting the report from the legues’ prosecutor,” said Motshumi.
The crew will keep you updated on developments surrounding this matter.
