Rooi Mahamutsa is expected to play for Swallows FC in the GladAfrica Championship this season.
After finishing the season with Free State Stars, who were relegated from the Absa Premiership at the end of last season, Mahamutsa parted ways with the Bethlehem-based club.
Now that he looks to see out his professional career, the 37-year-old former Orlando Pirates defender has been training with Swallows under the watchful eye of their coach, Zeca Marques.
Another experienced defender who has been training with Swallows is former Mamelodi Sundowns and Polokwane City player Thapelo Tshilo.
Tshilo played for Maccabi FC last season, before the club was sold and renamed Swallows FC.
As reported by the Siya crew, Swallows have also signed former Pirates and Sundowns winger Lebohang ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena.
Swallows are finalising their preparations for their first match of the new season against TS Sporting at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday.
