Mahamutsa Nursing Injury At Bucs
News coming out of the Orlando Pirates camp is that defender Rooi Mahamutsa is nursing a thigh injury.
Mahamutsa has been a notable absentee from Pirates’ line-up in their recent matches, which has seen Ayanda Gcaba playing regularly for Coach Eric Tinkler and performing well in the process.
The Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs last weekend was the third game in a row that Mahamutsa was excluded from Bucs’ 18-man match-day squad.
The Siya crew understands that the 34-year-old is currently undergoing rehabilitation and working his way back to fitness, with a view of returning to Tinkler’s match-day squad.
Bucs currently have a number of high profile players on the sidelines nursing their respective injuries, including the likes of Oupa Manyisa, Happy Jele, Sifiso Myeni and Brighton Mhlongo.
Pirates are currently preparing for their midweek game against Ajax Cape Town in the Mother City.
