Ajax Cape Town head coach, Roger De Sa admits his side were poor in front of goal following their 1-0 loss to league leaders, Kaizer Chiefs in an Absa Premiership match on Wednesday night.
The Urban Warriors dominated the possession stakes for the most part, but some woeful shooting let them down on the night.
“I thought we weren’t very good (against Chiefs), we weren’t very good at all.
“They (Chiefs) weren’t a lot better than us but we weren’t that good. We were poor and never got going, " said De Sa.
The former Bucs mentor also pointed out the possession dominance.
“I know we had quite a lot of possession but the possession didn’t mean anything because we couldn’t get the ball into the final third.
“Twelve shots on goal and we never hit the target once.
“The only time we threatened was with Nathan Paulse’s headers, two headers on target and that was it, " De Sa concluded.
The Urban Warriors next face SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, March 7.
