De Sa On Chiefs And Delving Into The Transfer Market
Roger De Sa Plans To Bring In New Players In January
Roger de Sa thinks that Platinum Stars were better than Kaizer Chiefs for periods of the game at the weekend, but says they must take their defeat on the chin.
Dikwena were on an unbeaten run that stretched back nearly two months when they took on the Amakhosi on Saturday, although that came to an end as Siphiwe Tshabalala scored in the second half to give Steve Komphela a much-needed victory.
Now, with Stars preparing to face fellow strugglers, Bidvest Wits, De Sa wants to make sure that they finish 2017 on a high and as far up the Absa Premiership table as possible.
He said in a press release, “For about 30 minutes we looked better. We got behind them, we looked better for that period. But once Ntuli’s legs went, they got stronger and stronger. Once they brought on the subs, there was always a danger that they would turn around a bit.
“Seven games without a loss was a pretty good record. We want to go another seven days without a loss. If things are going to happen, you have to take it on the chin and fight back. We are going to fight back. We want to finish on a high."
He also added that they would be looking to strengthen in the next window, saying, “Hopefully we can go into (the) transfer market and bring in two or three that are going to add to the squad.”
De Sa comes up against his former side at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday evening.
