Soccer Laduma can reveal that Roger Da Costa has signed a two year contract with Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Soccer Laduma reported last month that the 28-year-old central defender, who spent the past four years at Moroka Swallows, was wanted by a number of PSL clubs, and Amazayoni have won the race.
The Johannesburg-born defender, who played US college football for Tyler Junior College, played just 12 PSL games this season, scoring one goal.
He had an unsuccessful trial at Slavia Praha in February this year, the club where Keegan Ritchie is currently playing.
A source close to the club confirmed to Soccer Laduma that everything has been agreed upon and Da Costa has signed a two year deal at the club
When contacted for comment, Aces General Manager Gordon Masondo would not confirm the deal, though did admit they were interested in the player.
"It is true we are interested in the player and we are looking at him. He is one of the player that the team wants to bring in," Masondo explained.
Amazayoni have wasted no time in bolstering their ranks, with Da Costa joining a number of new signings, including Ghanaian centre-back Kwabena Adusei and Zimbabwean midfielder Peter Moyo.
