News coming out of the Polokwane City camp is that defender, Rofhiwa Tshikovhi, has been ruled out of Sunday's clash with Wits.
The player who is on-loan from Platinum Stars, sustained a knee injury against Golden Arrows in the Nedbank Cup two weeks ago, and will play no part in the game against Gavin Hunt’s side.
Speaking to the Siya crew, PRO Patrick Baloyi, confirmed the news that the defender will miss Sunday's game.
“He’s out injured with a knee injury and he’s not that bad as he will be back after this game. Losing him now will not make a huge difference as we have Thapelo (Tshilo) and Vukile (Mngqibisa), so we’ll miss him, but the coach has options. As you know, we’ll play this game without Sandile (Sibande) and Tlou (Molekwane) who are Wits players, and will be replaced by Sfiso (Mbhele) and Vusi (Mthimkhulu) ” said Baloyi.
City are currently lying at position 14 with 19 points from the same number of games. 'Rise and Shine' have played four league games so this year, and have only managed a single win which was against Orlando Pirates, but have lost their last two games, against Ajax Cape Town (2-0) and Golden Arrows (3-2) respectively, while earning a draw (2-2) against Platinum Stars.
Polokwane City clash with Wits on Sunday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
