University of Pretoria have announced the signing of Alan Robertson, who spent last season at English League Two side Barnet FC.
The 19-year-old central defender is believed to have impressed head coach Steve Barker and his technical team in training, and he has since been offered a professional contract with the club.
AmaTuks media officer, Khatochelo Mbanda, explained to the Siya crew that Robertson has been training with the club for around a month and has been enjoying his time back in South Africa.
Mbanda told Soccer-Laduma, “Alan spent a season or so in England at Barnet FC. He grew up here in South Africa and has decided to return home. He has been doing preseason with the team, and has been doing well. The technical team has decided he is ready.”
Soccer-Laduma recently reported that Tuks Barker was looking to add a few more players to his squad.
Robertson could make his debut in the Tshwane Derby next Wednesday, when Tuks face off against SuperSport United at the Tuks Stadium.
