Kaizer Chiefs defender Keegan Ritchie was delighted to get a start as he put in a Man of the Match performance in their 3-1 win over Black Leopards on Wednesday.
The full-back was a constant menace on the flanks as he supported his side in attack and defence, and admits that he was pleased by his performance.
The defender said that it was not smooth sailing throughout, as they went into the break locked at 1-1 after their lead was cancelled out, but he feels that they improved after the break.
"I'm glad that I've got a chance to play. It's always good to get back onto the field - I really appreciate this," said the defender.
"I worked as hard as I could and I'm happy with my performance.
"It was tough, because they got a goal back and we started to back off a bit - and they were putting us under pressure.
"But in the second-half we came back around and we did well."
