Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Reyaad Pieterse, has attracted interest from a host of foreign clubs after it was revealed that he is not looking to remain an Amakhosi player much longer.
Pieterse’s contract with the Glamour Boys expires at the end of the current season and although at one stage it looked likely that he was interested in extending his stay at the club, it no longer seems to be the case.
The 23-year-old was reportedly interested in penning a new deal when Itumeleng Khune was not part of the club's plans, however since Khune’s return, Pieterse has once again fallen down the pecking order to third choice goalkeeper.
The latest news reaching the Siya desk is that the talented shot-stopper has attracted interest from a number of Scandinavian clubs and could depart Naturena in January, as he will be in the last six months of his contract and thus able to negotiate a pre-contract.
“His contract is due to expire in June next year and so far he has not been keen to renew it, because he will not play much since Khune is back and when (Brilliant) Khuzwayo is fit, then he will be third-choice.”
“He doesn’t want that and it seems there is interest from the Scandinavian countries, though at the moment I can’t really say whether it’s Sweden, Norway or Denmark. But there is definite interest from that part of Europe,” a source said.
