Free State Stars defender, Reuben Thebakang, is still linked with a move to Platinum Stars.
The left back is one of the players who shone for Stars in their disappointing season that saw them finish the 2013/14 campaign in 14th place on the log.
According to a source close to the player, Thebakang and his representative are expected to meet with the management of Stars to discuss his future.
“Platinum Stars is interested in the player. The player is still contracted to Free State Stars for another season. Thebakang and his agent are hoping to meet with Stars to discuss his future,” said the source.
Thebakang and his teammates ensured that Stars avoided the PSL’s promotion/relegation playoffs with an important 3-0 win over Moroka Swallows in their last game of the season.
Thebakang was instrumental in the win as he scored one of the goals for the Bethlehem outfit and helped Kinnah Phiri’s side with his defensive qualities.
The Sebokeng-born player started his professional career at Dikwena before his move to Ea Lla Koto.
