Free State Stars defender, Reuben Thebakang, is on the way to making a return to the first team. The left-back has been a notable absentee from the starting line-up in the last four games.
The Sebokeng-born player has been struggling with a calf injury he picked up in the game against Ajax Cape Town earlier this month. Thebakang confirmed to the Siya crew that he has made progress.
“I am getting better. I have started with light training. I am working on fitness and should be available for selection before the end of the season,” said Thebakang.
Ea Lla Koto are still 14th on the Absa Premiership table with 21 points in 23 games. The Bethlehem outfit played to a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers, Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium this past weekend.
The team’s next game is against AmaZulu on Saturday, April 5.
