Free State Stars defender, Reuben Thebakang, could be out for four weeks, after picking up an injury. Thebakang pulled a calf muscle in the 1-1 draw with Ajax Cape Town last weekend.
The former Platinum Stars player confirmed to the Siya crew that he has not made the trip to KZN for tonight’s league game as a result of his currently condition.
“I am injured at the moment. I injured my calf muscle in the game against Ajax Cape Town on the weekend. I’m hurting inside because I wanted to help the team,” said Thebakang.
Stars have a tough game against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium tonight. Maritzburg have done fairly well since the arrival of Stars’ former coach, Steve Komphela, at the club.
Ea Lla Koto won the first round game between the two sides 2-0 under Komphela in August.
