'Yeye' has started all six of the Amakhosi’s games in the PSL so far this season despite him being 33-years-old. Chiefs will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host high flying Mpumalanga Black Aces in the league this weekend.
The veteran midfielder no longer seems to be part of Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba’s plans and has been afforded a welcome rest during the international break. He spoke to Soccer Laduma about the toughest individuals he faced during his 55 games for the national team.
“There are a lot. I can’t just come with one out of my head right now, because there are so many great players I have played against,” Yeye told Soccer Laduma.
“Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast and Seydou Keita of Mali are two very tough midfielders I have come up against, though.
“They are versatile midfielders who can mark and play. They are so mobile that, when you are marking them or playing against them, you will run the whole game non-stop.”
