'Rise and Shine' have been enjoying a good run so far in the current campaign, with the side having already won the Q2 of the league’s Q-Innovation this season.
Papic was recently awarded the Coach of the Month award by the league, for the team’s impressive run in November and December. Rendani Ndou, who is one of the influential players under Papic at the Limpopo outfit, says the Serbian is on the right track with their objectives for the season.
“We’d like to finish in the top eight and the coach has been pushing us. The players are very grateful to have him around because if you are a cow, he can change you into a star. The players enjoy playing for him. Believe me, I couldn’t trap the ball, but I was scoring the goals for Black Leopards.
"Then after only working for six months under him, I became a different player. I could turn, I could receive the ball and so on. He doesn’t put players under pressure and he gives you freedom. If you make 10 mistakes and do one good thing, he will compliment you about that good thing and not shout at you about your mistakes. That’s Kosta for you,” said Ndou.
Ndou scored the winning goal for Polokwane when the side beat Moroka Swallows 2-1, in their previous game at Peter Mokaba Stadium last weekend.
Kosta's charges have scored more goals than any other PSL side this season, with 29 goals.
