The South African football fraternity was left devastated this morning after a horrific car crash claimed the life of Sinethemba Jantjie.
Jantjie began his professional career with Mbombela United in 2014, where he thereafter put pen to paper on his first professional top-flight contract with Free State Stars in 2016.

The 30-year-old helped Free State Stars to their first ever Nedbank Cup win last season, with it also being his first trophy added to his cabinet.
The late Jantjie also caught the attention of the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, with the player having been strongly linked with a move to either side in the past.
However, Bidvest Wits were able to edge the likes of Chiefs and Sundowns, landing the player’s signature on pre-contract in January, where he was set to join up with the club at the end of the season.
Sadly, Jantjie’s life and professional career have come to an end before he could take the next step, with his loss to football mourned all around South Africa.
Jantjie made his final appearance for Ea Lla Koto in a 4-1 win over AmaZulu FC in the Absa Premiership on March, 03.
