Chiefs’ New Signing Makes Amakhosi Pledge
Kaizer Chiefs’ new signing, Reeve Frosler, has made a pledge to the Amakhosi faithful after he penned a long-term deal at Naturena on transfer deadline day.
The 21-year-old Bafana Bafana international signed a pre-contract at Chiefs earlier in January as he entered into the last six months of his deal at Bidvest Wits, though the plan was to always try and get a deal done before the window closed.
Finally, on the last day, it was confirmed that the right-back had finally completed a switch from Braamfontein, and he’s delighted to make the move to Soweto as he starts the next chapter of his career.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Frosler said, “This is a big opportunity and I am ready to give it my all… It’s my ambition to win trophies with Kaizer Chiefs. I will do my best in every game selected for, I never want to let them (the supporters) down.
Meanwhile, his new coach is happy to have the defender on board, calling him ‘one for the future’ of Kaizer Chiefs.
Middendorp said, “Reeve is a wing-back who can play on either the right or the left, he is one for the future and an investment for the club. Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko have done well at right-back and can also give us flexibility at the centre-back position.”
Frosler will now be focused on working his way into the German’s starting XI as he takes aim at his debut in the famous gold and black jersey.
