The Siya Crew can reveal that former Chippa United striker, Welcome Qalanto, is at Milano United and looks likely to sign for the National First Division side.
Qalanto, who was recently released by Golden Arrows due to alleged ill-discipline, started training with Milano United on Tuesday and has been very impressive, according to sources.
Our source added, “Look, he could be signed before the close of the transfer window and the team is also looking for a Safa Second Division team to loan former FC AK striker, Danian Warley.”
When contacted for comment, Qalanto said, “It’s true that I’m at Milano. They had a proper look at me in a friendly game against Ajax Cape Town on Thursday. After that they called me and said they are interested to sign me. We will finalise the deal by Monday.”
Asked about why he couldn't sign for Chippa United, where he had been on trial, he said, "I just stopped training because they know what kind of a player I am and for me to just train and hear nothing from them... they were wasting my time!"
