News reaching the Siya crew is that former Golden Arrows and Chippa United striker, Welcome Qalanto, has joined NFD side Milano United.
Qalanto becomes the latest player to join the Cape Town team after former Bloemfontein Celtic defender, Augustine Leonard, and former Jomo Cosmos winger, Broderick Burds, also joined the team.
Milano General Manager, Sean Ferrier, believes the new edition will add the much needed experience in the youthful Eezy My Kinnes.
“It’s no secret that our form away from home has not been good. The technical team decided to address this issue by bringing in some experienced players who know what it's like to play all over South Africa,” Ferrier told the official Milano website.
“The new players will be able to impart their knowledge on some of our younger players. The idea is to make sure we have the right mix of experience and youth,” added Ferrier.
Milano are currently third in the NFD standings after 16 games.
