PSL Tweets Of The Week

It’s Monday, which means it’s time for the top 10 Tweets of the Week from South African football.
All the talk this week was of the top-of-the-table clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, a battle in which the Brazilians came out on top with a 1-0 win.
The man of the hour in that game was goalscorer, Teko Modise, who thanked the fans after the game:
@Donadoni10: “Thanks to all that came thru to support,on behalf of the guys we appreciate it very much #KBY”
Meanwhile, his teammate, Khama Billiat, who made his timely comeback in the fixture, refused to get carried away:
@IamKhamaBilliat: “Morning guys stll feeling good with the last nght's win but we cnt be carried awy cz every game nw is a final for us #inGodwetrust #20”
On the other side there was another comeback, that of Itumeleng Khune, who refused to be disheartened by the defeat:
@IIKHUNE_32_16: “God sometimes takes us into troubled waters not to drown us, but to cleanse us. Let's remain Positive Khosi”
His Chippa United counterpart, Sean Roberts, whose side went 10 points clear in the NFD this weekend, was happy to see Khune back:
@seanroberts01: “Great to see @IIKHUNE_32_16 back on the field!”
In other news, there was a late win for Ajax Cape Town against Moroka Swallows, something that pleased head coach, Roger de Sa:
@RogerDe_Sa: “Sometimes it goes your way. About time!”
While his player, Keagan Dolly, was happy to be back in Johannesburg:
@Dolly_Keagz28: “Jozi vibes... so close to home but I can't spend time with my fam #IjobIjob sbale #LifeOfAsoccerPlayer #28”
Despite defeat on that night, Swallows did claim all three points earlier last week against Platinum Stars, much to Larry Cohen’s delight:
@Larry_Cohen: “Hard fought, well deserved tonight! #3points”
Meanwhile, overseas there were lots of South Africans in action, one of them was Siyanda Xulu, who played the full 90 minutes as Rostov picked up a vital away win:
@siyanda_xulu: “Great performance by Rostov, three points away it wasn't easy but we showed character!!!”
Mark Mayambela played the first half for Djurgarden, grabbing another spot in the starting XI, as his new lease on life continues:
@ProfMayambela12: “match day #startinglineup #DIF15”
Finally, there were words of sympathy from Anele Ngcongca, who scored for Genk this weekend, after news that his former teammate, Christian Benteke, had been ruled out of the World Cup:
@thetera16: “I feel sorry for my boy @bentekechris20 for the injury that will rule him out of the world cup be strong son.”
