PSL Tweets Of The Week

We know it’s not Monday, but our top 10 PSL Tweets of the Week feature has now been moved to Fridays.

The season is up and running, but the transfer madness is yet to slow down, and it’s overall a very exciting time in South African football.

Bloemfontein Celtic secured two more signings for their 2014/15 campaign:
@Bloem_Celtic: “#MusaNyatama & #Mukeka Mulenga join @Bloem_Celtic . Both on Loan deals #Siwelele”

While Orlando Pirates’ head coach said that he’s happy to see improvement following their draw with Siwelele:
@Orlando_Pirates: “Vermezovic: "I'm happy with the way we played, there is still room for improvement. Finally we scored 2 goals"

The champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, got off to a rocky start as they drew with Maritzburg United:
@MaritzburgUtd: “Awal steps up and converts! Score now 1-1 at Loftus #TeamofChoicevsDowns”

While Ajax Cape Town’s Roger de Sa, delved into the past regarding his time at Pirates:
@RogerDe_Sa: “How much did I pay. ' I never sold or bought any player while at O.Pirates or had anything to do with squad make up."

SuperSport United’s Michael Morton was delighted with the new Multichoice Diski Challenge tournament:
@MMORTON6: “South African football NEEDED this!! Long overdue. #MultiChoiceDiskiChallenge, hats off to all involved! The forward thinking we need!!”

And there were congratulations in order for Banyana Banyana’s Janine van Wyk:
@mpblackaces: “Aces would like to send big-ups to @Janinevanwyk5 - captain of Banyana for earning her 100th cap tomorrow.”

Still with Banyana, their head coach, Vera Pauw, is very happy with how things are going:
@verapauw: “A team with beautiful personalities. You make each other shine! #empoweryourself @Banyana_Banyana @sasol.”

And it’s also been a reasonably good start for Bidvest Wits and their stand in ‘keeper, Jackson Mabokgwane:
@rowen1: “Bloody hell @JMabokgwane great performance young man!!!keep it up!! Well done @BidvestWits boys!!!”

Another new signing, Kaizer Chiefs’ Ovidy Karuru, is backing his team, despite not being registered to play yet:
@OvyKays : “1st game of the season...let's start the season with a victory...good luck AMAKHOSI...WIN WIN WIN”

And finally, it’s good to see Wits’ Kees Kwakman also having a sense of humour about his work permit predicament:
@keeskwakman14: “Today first game for Bidv... What? Work-Permit. No I haven't got one. I can't play than? Oh oke I sit again, no problem. #ComeonWits”

Check out the Soccer Laduma website next Friday for a whole new host of Mzansi-based tweets.
