PSL Tweets Of The Week

It’s Monday, which means it’s time for the top 10 Tweets of the Week from South African football.

Following his goal against Bafana last week, Kaizer Chiefs attacker Knowledge Musona promised more to Mzansi’s football fans.

@KnowMusona: Some South Africans said I'm a cow but I thrilled them on Tuesday night and I will do the same come the 24th of Sept #mtn8 against Bucs

He kept to his word, scoring the opener against Maritzburg United and was praised by his agent, Mike Makaab.

@MikeMakaab: Well done to Knowledge Musona on his league goal for Kaizer Chiefs - form is temporary, talent is permanent.

Meanwhile, in the same game Shu-Aib Walters was in fine form for the Team of Choice and expressed his happiness at all the praise after the game.

@shuaib1walters: Thank you for all the kind words… I would like to thank Arthur Bartman for all his help and I can see now why Khune is on a different level.

Chiefs’ centre-back, Morgan Gould, also gave his take on the 2-0 win.

@mor_gould: We had to lay the rules out for them...Maritzburg United is good team & they came with a plan... Khosi had to do best... #MG83 ✌✌✌

On the other side of Soweto, Lennox Bacela offered high praise for his teammate Daine Klate ahead of their trip to Congo.

@lennoxbacela: @Klatey7 you deserve everything Mtshanam, u the most humble person I know and yet you have everything a player wants! God bless!!

And in Europe, controversy was sparked when an ‘injured’ Thulani Serero scored for Ajax Amsterdam.

@AFCAjax: 72. GOAL AJAX!! Thulani Serero, 1-0!! #ajapec

Mamelodi Sundowns’ midfielder, Khama Billiat, went to watch his former club as they took on Wits.

@IamKhamaBilliat: I'm goin to go watch Ajax CT vs Bidvest Wits tonight with Mido #inGodwetrust#20

While AmaZulu keeper Tapuwa Kapini was happy with his side’s victory over Moroka Swallows.

@tkapini7: What a win

Maritzburg United captain, Michael Morton, was not happy with the referee in the Springboks’ defeat against New Zealand.

@MMORTON6: The refs in the PSL allow more contact than this clown of a referee has allowed today!

And finally, Bafana and Chiefs captain, Itumeleng Khune, offered some words of wisdom to his followers.

@IIKHUNE_32_16: Never give up on what you LOVE ♥

Check out the Soccer-Laduma website next Monday for a whole new host of Mzansi-based tweets.
