The domestic January transfer window will close on Friday afternoon at 17h00.
The window period has been a hive of activity, with clubs signing and releasing players, as well as sealing pre-contract deals. The biggest talking points so far have been the transfers of Katlego Mphela from Mamelodi Sundowns to Kaizer Chiefs, as well as Lehlohonolo Majoro from Chiefs to Orlando Pirates.
The news of the window's date and time of closure was confirmed by the league's General Manager of Football, Derek Blanckensee.
He told the PSL official website, “We have seen a lot of media interest in this transfer window with some of the deals that have been completed already. As this is the last week of the transfer window, we are expecting the next few days to be busy but we have adequate systems in place to ensure the smooth running of this process.”
