It was a busy weekend in the world of South African football and twitter was abuzz with the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday and the Premiership Soccer League Awards on Sunday.
Just before Saturday's Nedbank Cup final PSL CEO Brand De Villiers summed up the event, tweeting:

After Orlando Pirates beat Bidvest Wits 3-1 in the final, Twitter was full of congratulations for the Buccaneers.

On Sunday the highlight of the PSL Awards was Bidvest Wits’ Sibusiso Vilakazi walking away with both the Player’s Player of the Season and the PSL Footballer of the Season awards.
Hlompho Kekana, who won for the best goal of the season, tweeted:

Kaizer Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite congratulated Vilakazi:

After winning the Telkom Knockout Player of the tournament Mogakolodi Ngele, who was unable to attend because of international duty, tweeted:
