PSL Tweets Of The Week

It’s Monday, which means it’s time for the top 10 Tweets of the Week from South African football.
The focus this week was on the CAF competitions, Champions League and Confederation Cup, however both Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United saw themselves knocked out.
Kaizer Chiefs’ injured goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, was not happy with their opposition’s shot-stopper in their 2-0 win:
@IIKHUNE_32_16: “There's time wasting and then there's the #ASVita keeper...”
While their communications manager, Vina Maphosa, also wasn’t pleased:
@alfavina: “We were cheated honestly but that's how it goes - no excuse though.”
However, there was a nice show of patriotism before the game as Chiefs wished SuperSport well:
@Kaizer_Chiefs: “Good luck @SuperSportFC Catch @SuperSportFC vs Etoile Sportive Du Sahel TODAY at the Lucas Moripe Stadium at 20H15 #CCC #SkeemaMatsatsantsa”
And vice-versa:
@SuperSportFC: “Wishing @Kaizer_Chiefs all the best for their #CCL fixture against AS Vita Club tonight #SAWeStand #SSFootball #SkeemaMatsatsantsa”
Meanwhile, SuperSport’s striker, Mame Niang, called for support prior to the game:
@niangmamec: “SSU and KC need support at the Stadiums tomorrow to go through.”
In other news, Mamelodi Sundowns went joint top of the PSL, level on points with the Amakhosi:
@Masandawana: “Full time | (46' Laffor, 66' Mokoena) Mamelodi Sundowns 2 : 1 University of Pretoria (62' Nyondo) #DownsLive #Sundowns”
And Orlando Pirates got another win under their belt thanks to a goal from Tlou Segolela, who went on to thank his agency:
@TlouSegolela: “@qtsports thanks is all ur work I'm so blessed to have u guys”
While Chiefs were given a boost by the return of Khune to training:
@IIKHUNE_32_16: “I had my 1st training session today, feeling good. i can't wait to get back to the Action. #GodIsGreat.”
Overseas, Andile Jali was given his second start in KV Oostende colours:
@kvoostende: “#gntkvo Opstelling: Ovono, Luissint, Schmisser, Brillant, Hempte, Siani, Foket, Jali, Vico, Canesin, Sladek.”
And Thulani Serero won Man of the Match as Ajax Amsterdam beat FC Twente 3-0:
@AFCAjax: “90. Thulani Serero wordt alvast uitgeroepen tot Ajacied van de Wedstrijd. Gefeliciteerd @sererothulani! #ajatwe” (90. Thulani Serero is already named Ajax Player of the Match. Congratulations @sererothulani! # ajatwe)
