Two late strikes for Free State Stars saw them come away with a 2-2 draw at SuperSport United on Wednesday.
Matsatsantsa were out of the blocks in a flash as they took the lead in the fifth minute. Thuso Phala provided the inspiration for the goal as he set it up for Kingston Nkhatha to smash home the finish.
The hosts were two goals clear only three minutes later as Phala got his name on the score sheet. David Mathebula passed it for the striker to find the back of the net with his timely finish.
SuperSport dominated the opening half as they created a number of chances while enjoying much of the possession while Free State attempted to break up the flow of their play, conceding numerous fouls in the process.
On the stroke of half-time the hosts had a chance to kill the game when Mathebula's corner-kick found Innocent Mkhabela, but his header went over the top.
United looked set to comfortably cruise to victory but Ea Lla Koto pulled a goal back in the 78th minute as Danny Venter gave Jurie Basie the chance to slot it past Ronwen Williams, who had a relatively quiet game in goal.
A last-ditch strike from Hendrik Somaeb in the 88th minute broke SuperSport hearts as he finished off the pass from Camaldine Abraw to salvage a point for the visitors.
